Sinopse

The author writes about his and his family’s experiences during a special period of their lives as foreigners living in the Chicago area.
The stories and chronicles deal with, alternately, his work in the city and his family life in suburbia. In the office, they address the peculiarities of the interaction of colleagues from various countries, which formed an international, multicultural, and remarkably interesting team, dubbed by themselves “Little United Nations”. At home, they address the everyday living of the couple and their children in an environment quite different from Sao Paulo; situations, new for them, came up frequently.
According to his habit, the author writes as if he were talking to the reader and, therefore, uses direct and informal language.
